This is where pattern lives, literal and otherwise. This is the visual side of my practice where I explore shape, pattern, and color through painting, drawing, and surface design. It’s an evolution of my work as a textile designer. It’s slower, more exploratory.
THE OFFICE
This is the part of my brain that likes a spreadsheet. And a moodboard. It’s where we figure out what your brand actually is, develop your sales strategy, or how to untangle your pricing strategy without losing your soul (or your margins).
Hey, I’m Sara Berks.
I’m a creative director, strategist, and founder exploring the intersections of art, design, and business. For 12 years, I built and led MINNA, a queer-led home textile brand rooted in deep artisan partnerships and a human-centered supply chain. Now I work through Portals. Part studio, part office, it’s where I create artwork, explore patterns, and where I collaborate with founders and brands to bring clarity, care, and intention to the way we build.
